The Tiger Woods Sex Scandal and Numerology

Tiger Woods was born on December 30, 1975 with a 1 life path number . (3+3+4 = 10/1 life path). In the section on the life path in my book, LIttle Giant Encyclopedia: Numerology, which was published in 2005, I listed Tiger along with several other famous people as an example of a person who had realized the potentials of his 1 life path destiny.
Tiger Woods may no longer be a role model for many in this world, but he still remains a role model for anyone with a 1 life path. At the age of six, he began listening to a series of subliminal tapes with messages to shape his self-confidence with declarations such as “I focus and give it my all!,” “My will moves mountain!,” “I believe in me!,” and “I will my own destiny!”. These messages would prove helpful as mantras for anyone with a 1 life path. and they seemed to work to Tiger’s benefit as early as age eight when he won his first formal competition. From that point on, he quickly made the transition from child prodigy to become known as the world’s number one golfer, amassing record achievements on both amateur and professional levels.
Like most people in this world on November 27, 2009, I was stunned to learn of Tiger’s sexual indiscretions — not the fact that he had a mistress, but the fact that he had so many of them. That there are several possible alleged mistresses with whom Tiger had prolonged affairs (in the words of columnist Susan Martinuk) “ means Tiger’s infidelity isn’t just a onetime-only mistake in judgment, it’s a way of life.”
A look at Tiger’s known name “Tiger Woods” reveals that with 8 as the number of his soul urge (the vowels in his name) he is ambitious and has a desire for power and material success, goals that he has certainly achieved as the world’s first athlete to earn over $1 billion The consonants of his known name add up to 1, the same number as his life path, and this shows that’s the world sees Tiger in a heroic light — indeed, as a person who exemplifies the 1 qualities of self-reliance, courage, leadership, individuality, independence, self-confidence., and the will to win. His full name adds up to 9, the number of the humanitarian. Nowhere, here, though, do we see 5, the number of sexuality.
To obtain an understanding of “the real” Tiger Woods – the Tiger who is a player off the field as well as on the field, we need to look at his full name at birth.
5 9 = 14/5 + 6 + 6 6 = 12/3 = 14/5 (soul urge)

The squeaky clean image of Eldrick Tont Woods that the public embraced and his corporate sponsors enhanced is revealed by the number of his quiet self (sometimes called the personality number) which is 4. Adjectives commonly used to describe the pre-scandal-tinged Tiger were self-disciplined, plays by the rules, serious, traditional, conventional, clean living, conservative, sometimes cold, sometimes dull, a family man, dutiful, methodical, dignified, precise, perservering, hard working, practical, down to earth, and willing to do whatever is necessary to get the job done — these are all attributes of the number 4.
The quiet self number tells us how you appear to others, that is, how the world sees you. It is a type of behavior you express automatically without conscious thought or effort. Its the instinctive way a person acts in dealing with others on impersonal matters. It is you on automatic pilot. When your heart and soul is involved in your dealings, you are expressing your soul urge and not your quiet self. That is why I think of the quiet self as a soul-less number, for it’s the superficial impression you make on others; it is the number of outer appearances, which are most often misleading ( certainly, that is so in the case of Tiger Woods).
It is a mask you are born with, not artifice, for it is a part of you, but unless your soul urge or expression is the same number, it does not reflect “the total you”. Though the public feels betrayed by the revelation that the real Tiger Woods is not the person he appears to be on the golf course, on magazine covers, in photo shoots, and at press conferences, there is a part of Tiger Woods that is that person — and that part is his quiet self number 4.
But if we want to know what motivates a person, what a person really wants out of life, we have to look at that person’s soul urge number, which in Tiger’s case, is 5, the number of everything that 4 is not. Whereas 4 is conservative and cautious, 5 is adventurous and sometimes reckless. 5 is the “have suitcase, will travel” number ; it loves speed, risk-taking, excitement, everything new and different, as well as the freedom to do what it wants to do when it wants to do it. 5 is sometimes a rebel, often opportunistic, sometimes irresponsible, does not want to be tied down, and always wants to live life to the fullest. 5 is the number of the 5 senses and a good sex life is a priority (necessity) for people with this number.
There is nothing wrong in having 5 as the number of your soul urge. Who could argue with 5′s desire to have an exciting and adventurous life – one full of spontaneity, joi de vivre, and one that includes sex and gambling to boot! Yet it these attributes of the 5 soul urge that Tiger himself and his corporate sponsors conspired to keep hidden from the public. The coverup began in 1997. Tiger was 20 years old when he turned pro on August 28, 1996. By the time he was 21 he was already quickly developing a reputation as a skirt chaser among those who knew him. In April 1997, GQ published Charles P. Pierce’s interview with the young golfing phenom which revealed Tiger to be a guy with a potty mouth and a taste for raunchy dirty jokes. Pierce in his article included the text of these crude. tasteless, and not very funny jokes word for word. That profile by Pierce forever changed Tiger’s strategy for interacting with the public. No longer would he reveal his 5 soul urge to the world at large; instead he would utilize his 4 quiet self as his public image. As columnist Charles Slade noted,”For business reasons—Buick, Nike, Gatorade, Gillette, EA Sports, and Accenture being among them—Woods decided to exfoliate from his public image of all things base, carnal, and even personal.”
Charles Pierce in a recent article takes a look back at what transpired in Tiger’s world in 1997. Here are some of his reflections:
Back in 1997, one of the worst-kept secrets on the PGA Tour was that Tiger was something of a hound. Everybody knew. Everybody had a story. Occasionally somebody saw it, but nobody wanted to talk about it, except in bar-room whispers late at night. Tiger’s People at the International Management Group visibly got the vapors if you even implied anything about it. However, from that moment on, the marketing cocoon around him became almost impenetrable. The Tiger Woods that was constructed for corporate consumption was spotless and smooth, an edgeless brand easily peddled to sheikhs and shakers.
Not all people with a 5 soul urge are philanderers. To understand why Tiger misused the principle of freedom that is associated with the number 5, we have to delve deeper in our study of numerology. Tiger’s soul urge number is 5, but it is a 14/5. Whereas 5 learns from it experiences and living life is its greatest teacher, a 14/5 often fails to learn from its experiences and tends to repeat the same mistake over and over again. 14 is a karmic number, associated with the principles of past lives and reincarnation.It is a testing number. So that you won’t think I am inventing new meanings of 14 to fit Tiger’s current life situation, I am going to provide you with quoted material on the number 14 from my book Little Giant Encyclopedia: Numerology, which was published in 2005 and you can see for yourself if that material applies to Tiger Wood’s sex scandal.
As 14 is said to be overly concerned with the five senses, many 14s are especially prone to make mistakes where sex is concerned. Some 14s have lost track of the sacredness of sex and have wrongly interpreted sex laws. Others are luv-em-leave-em types who meet their biggest challenges in life through letting their sex lives run (or ruin) their lives. Often, they leave in their wake a host of broken-hearted lovers.
14s have trouble learning from their experiences. Indeed, it is usually the jilted lover who learns the very lessons that 14 should have learned. To be involved with some 14s is like having a date with karma. Maybe you don’t deserve to have your feelings toyed with, your heart shattered, and your life devastated … Too often, a 14 willy-nilly goes off to a new conquest never even thinking about the pain and suffering he or she caused another. But that is par for the course, for many 14s simply do not take responsibilities for their actions.
Whenever there is a sex scandal in this world, 14 is usually somewhere to be found. The name Bill Clinton adds up to 14 and Monica Lewinsky was born on the 14th. The name Dave Letterman adds up to 14, as do the names Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. Amy Fisher, aka The Long Island Lolita, was born on 8/21/1974 with a 14 life path and John (Reid) Edwards has 14 for his quiet self number.
Going back further in time, we could say that the legendary Marlene Dietrich, known for her bedroom eyes, was a womanizer as she had numerous affairs with women as well as men. Marlene’s birth name adds up to 14 and she was born with a 14 life path number. Another screen goddess whose taste included both men and women was the earthy Ava Gardner, who was also born with a 14 life path number. In 1802 it was rumored that Thomas Jefferson with his 14 soul urge had a mistress and in 1968 it was proven that he was indeed the father of Sally Hemming’s children. The great romantic poet Lord Byron, who was born with a 14 soul urge, probably had as many mistresses as Tiger Woods and probably as many romantic conquests. Even Albert Einstein born on the 14th had a mistress.
But tops on my list of womanizers is the legendary Casanova, considered by some to be the greatest lover of all time, whose birthname adds up to the number 14. He spent his lifetime in and out of scandals and in his memoirs wrote “ Cultivating whatever gave pleasure to my senses was always the chief business of my life; I never found any occupation more important. Feeling that I was born for the sex opposite of mine, I have always loved it and done all that I could to make myself loved by it….As for women, I have always found that the one I was in love with smelled good, and the more copious her sweat the sweeter I found it.”
It perhaps will come as no surprise to learn that many of Tiger’s 14 alleged mistresses are also 14/5s or 5s. The Tiger Woods Sex Scandal began with a publication in the National Enquirer on 11/25/2009 of an alleged affair between Tiger and party planner Rachel Uchitel, who was born 1/26/1967 with a 14 life path and also she shares with Tiger a 14 soul urge. Las Vegas model Jamie Jungers also has a 14 soul urge. 34 year old waitress Mindy Lawton who had a 14 month affair with Tiger also has a 14 soul urge. Waitress Jaimee Grubbs has a 5 soul urge and Tiger’s “cougar girl”, Theresa Rogers has a 5 expression. Porn star Holly Sampson has a 14 quiet self. Porn star Joselyn James has 14 letters in her birth name , Veronica Subick. Since I do not have enough data on the other alleged mistresses, I will leave them off this list. but this common link of 14/5 between Tiger and these women helps explain the attraction between them. On some level , Tiger had something in common with the aforementioned mistresses.
Not all people with 14 get into trouble or achieve notoriety because of their sex lives, but some do – and Tiger has let his sex life damage his reputation and jeopardize his career (and also his financial well being). Tiger began his professional career on August 26, 1996 and I think it is significant that the mess he finds himself in occurred in the beginning of his 14th year as a professional golfer. No doubt this is a coincidence, but I think in terms of numerology, karma, sex and the number 14, it is a significant coincidence. Even though 14 is called a karmic number in numerology, I don’t think we can place the blame on karma, for the blame clearly falls on Tiger’s shoulders. Tiger’s current dilemma is not because he did something wrong in a former lifetime, it is because he did something wrong in this life time. Having a karmic number such as 14, according to numerology, means you misused the principles associated with the number 14 in a former lifetime and in this lifetime, you will have the chance to rectify the past by giving us a better understanding of those principles that you formerly misused or misinterpreted.
I have said earlier that the biggest screwup a 14 is liable to do is to not learn from his or her experiences — to repeat the same mistake over and over again. 14 is actually a lucky number… but it’s the kind of luck that gets away with murder. 14s have a way of extricating themselves from difficult situations without having to face the consequences of their actions. That is why they often don’t learn from their mistakes – and why they so often repeat them. In Tiger’s case, he got off scott free from facing the consequences of his actions in 2007 when the National Enquirer was poised to publish photos of him having sex with Mindy Lawton in a car. His corporate sponsors got him off the hook by making a deal with American Media Inc. , the owner of the National Enquirer and Men’s Fitness magazine. In exchange for not publishing the photos, Tiger agreed to be on the cover of Men’s Fitness and to make cliche statements about physical fitness. Thanks to his sponsors, Tiger extricated himself from this career/image threatening situation. Did he learn from this experience? No, he did not. He ended his relationship with Mindy Lawton, but he continued his affair with Jaime Grubbs and continued on the same path of recklessness that would lead to further infidelities. After all, he got away with it this time..why shouldn’t he get away with it the next time? I think the reason why the roof caved in on him this time has something to do with the fact that August 2009 signaled the beginning of his 14th year as a pro golfer — 14, in this instance, meaning that it’s time for Tiger to face the karma he created, not in a former lifetime, but in this lifetime.
