The Life Path Number
The life path number tells us of our chief opportunity to find meaning and purpose in life. Its number indicates our goal in life and by learning all we can about the principle of the number that governs your life path, you will be better able to understand and fulfill your destiny.
Finding the Life path number. Mary Alice Smith was born on March 5 1942. To find her life path number, we reduce the digits of the month, day, and year to single digits. Then, we add and reduce these digits again. Here is how a numerologist would set up Mary’s birth date.

3 + 5 + 7 = 15/6
Mary Alice Smith has a life path of 6 (Note if your life path number adds up to 11, do not reduce it to a single digit. Instead write it as 11/2 and on the following pages read the text for both the numbers 11 and 2, as both of these numbers may apply to you. If 2 is your life path, downplay your ego, meet others halfway, and be cooperative. Be sensitive to others’ feelings. Charm, friendliness, helpfulness, loyalty, and consideration will be your allies in getting ahead in life. Learn to see both sides of the question. Be diplomatic, patient, modest, thoughtful, supportive, and a good listener. Your destiny is often intertwined with a significant other. In your case, two heads are often better than one. Give details due attention and do those “little things that mean a lot”. Learn how to give and to receive.

If 3 is your life path, your destiny is to spread joy, to shed light in dark places, and to entertain. You’ll find meaning and purspose in life through the lighter sides of life – through friendships, happy socializing, small talk, and mixing and mingling. Be charming, a gracious host or hostess, and help others see the silver lining. Above all, express your thoughts and creative talents, communicate, be optimistic, and have a good sense of humour. Be versatile, but don’t scatter your energies or waste your talents. Deveop an appreciation for beauty and beautiful things, but know when beauty is only skin deep.
