The Expression
Each letter of the alphabet has a matching number (from 1 to 9). Here is a table showing the number value of each letter.

The Expression
The full name, including both vowels and consonants, is called the expression. It is the you that the world sees and judges. Its number tells how you characteristically express yourself. As the sum of all the letters in a name, the expression shows natural abilities and indicates the kinds of things you can do most easily.
How to find the expression:

Mary Alice Smith has 3, the number of self- expression for her expression. She has a good sense of humor, is able to mingle well with others, and is upbeat in outlook.
(Note if your expression adds up to 11, do not reduce it to a single digit. Instead write it as 11/2 and on the following pages read the text for both the numbers 11 and 2, as both of these numbers may apply to you.
